Farnsworth Honoured At Dresden

Veteran horseman Ormand Farnsworth was enshrined into the Dresden Raceway Hall of Fame today, capping of a great day of racing at the local oval.

The 87-year-old owner, trainer and driver has had many horses over the years and has been a constant at Dresden Raceway.

Farnsworth and wife of 61 years, Vivian, were given a plaque and honoured today in a ceremony that reviewed his career on and off the track.

Farnsworth also did track maintenance for many years at Dresden Raceway and has been involved in the track in many other ways including sitting with the Dresden Ag Society.

On the track today Tyler Borth was the man with the hot hands as he drove four winners on the day.

Borth clicked with Jazzie Crombie (2:01.3), Northern Illusion (2:04.2), Passionate Pete (2:01) and M G Idole (2:01.1).
