After having been away from the races for three weeks, 2009 Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots final winner Scotty Doesnt Know was back on track during Mohawk's Monday qualifying session, and the son of Malabar Maple looked much the best for driver Trevor Ritchie

Starting from Post 3 in Race 2 for trainer John Drennan, Scotty Doesnt Know went to the top early and cut the fractions in :29.3, :58.1 and 1:27.1 before cruising home with a :29.3 final quarter-mile. The time of the victory was 1:56.4 and the margin of victory was four lengths. The mile went down as a new life's mark for the three-year-old gelding.
From 10 career starts, Scotty Doesn’t Know has amassed a record of 4-4-1 and banked $147,380 in purses.
Three-year-old Million Dollar Cam filly Precious Cammill got things started in Race 1 with a wire-to-wire victory for trainer Bill Windsor and driver Randy Waples in 1:54.3. After cutting the fractions in :28.1, :56.4 and 1:26, Precious Cammill went on to post an eight and three-quarter-length margin of victory. The mile was the filly's second victorious qualifying effort of the year.
Other gate-to-wire winners during the qualifying session were three-year-old Ken Warkentin filly This Flight Tonight (2:00.4) and seven-year-old Mr Lavec horse Misterizi (1:55.4).
