Hold My Wine and Killer Stripes each won their respective $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) elimination for three-year-old pacing fillies on Tuesday (June 20) at Harrington Raceway.

Owned by George and Tina Dennis, Hold My Wine stalked pacesetter Misty Coast throughout before surging by in the stretch in 1:54.3 for trainer Joe Columbo. Misty Coast was second with Kims Secret Search third. It was the fifth win of the season for Hold My Wine, a Badlands Hanover filly, who has won all her races at Harrington. Montrell Teague drove the $5.60 winner.

The second split went to heavily favoured Killer Stripes for owners Andrew Stafford, Thomas Ireland and Bonnie Benson. She was a dominant 1:57.3 winner over Chatty Kathleen and Direct Mist. The Badlands Hanover filly improved to five-for-five in her career for trainer, co-owner and driver Art Stafford Jr. She paid $2.10 to win.

Tony Morgan won five races, while Montrell Teague had three wins on the card.

Four $20,000 divisions of trotters will complete their second leg of DSBF action on Wednesday, June 21. The top eight point-earners from the two legs will return to compete in the $100,000 finals on July 27 during the Delaware State Fair.

Post time is 4:30 p.m. (EDT).
