It has been announced that the connections of world record holder Muscle Network have tapped a new trainer to condition the three-year-old son of Muscle Hill.
Svanstedt Stable has announced that Muscle Network will now race out of the stable of Ake Svanstedt.
Muscle Network banked $314,350 last season during a freshman campaign in which he trotted to a 1:53.2 world record victory during a division of the International Stallion Stakes at the Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky.
The colt raced eight times as a two-year-old and recorded two wins, a lone second-place effort and a third-place finish.
Tony O’Sullivan was Muscle Network’s trainer of record for all of the bay’s 2013 starts, except for the $494,750 Valley Victory at the Meadowlands Racetrack, which he won in 1:55.1 for trainer Jonas Czernyson.
Czernyson had been Muscle Network’s trainer of record this season. The colt has yet to record a victory after three qualifying dashes and a start in a leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes.
Commenting on the addition of Muscle Network to his stable, Svanstedt said, “Of course it is very fun and inspiring to have such a top horse in our stable,” adding, “I’ve seen him compete and he has high potential.”
Muscle Network is owned by F Bellino And Sons LLC of Bronxville, New York.
