Junebugs Baby circled his top class rivals at Northside Downs on Saturday (June 18) for his second straight last-to-first victory.

Junebugs Baby was last at the half-mile mark in this week's $1,100 Winners Over pacing feature while Sweet Sweet Rosco and Dixie Lullaby battled on top for the lead. However, Junebugs Baby circled the field of six and drew away by five lengths into the stretch en route to the 1:57.3 victory. Putnams Power finished second off a pocket trip and J N J came on for third.

The win was Junebugs Baby's second (consecutive) from three starts this year. Fraser Turnbull drives, trains and co-owns the seven-year-old homebred pacer, who had also trailed early on in his June 11 start before posting a 1:59.1 triumph. A 41-time career winner, the son of Western Paradise has banked over $90,000 in purse earnings. He is also owned by John Turnbull Jr. of Glace Bay, N.S.
