Four-year-old pacer Save America, a multiple Grand Circuit stakes winner, sold for six figures in an online auction on Monday afternoon, June 17.
Save America p,3,1:48.1f ($587,368) was purchased for $165,069 by Anthony MacDonald's The Stable via onGait.com.
The Captaintreacherous-My Lady Day gelding won divisions of the Champlain and Nassagaweya Stakes as a freshman in 2022 as well an elimination for the Metro Pace before finishing second to O'Brien Award winner Stockade Seelster in the final. As a three-year-old last year, he took his lifetime mark of 1:48.1 in the Pennsylvania Stallion Series at Harrah's Philadelphia.
Now four, Save America entered the online auction off two straight wins at Yonkers Raceway. Nancy Takter was training for the partnership of 3 Brothers Stables of New York and Caviart Farms of Virginia.
