An article today by the Bugle-Observer previews the upcoming live racing events at Connell Park
Raceway in Woodstock, NB.
The first of four highly-anticipated live cards will be taking place Friday, June 19. First race post time is at 7:00 p.m. and eight races are on the docket.
"This Friday's card will lead into three more during Old Home Week in Woodstock over the summer," said Andy Sutherland, who guides the Woodstock Driving Club. "The second event will be held at 1:30 p.m. on August 3. On the day, we will host two and three-year-old trotters as part of an Atlantic Sires Stakes event as well as older pacing mares as part of the 2009 Erwin Andrews Series.
"The third event will be August 5 at 7:30 p.m., with the final of the four cards planned for Friday, August 7, with our annual, and highly-anticipated, McCain Memorial and Kitchen Memorial. These races are held every year and always draw a talented field of horses and a dedicated group of fans from across Canada and the United States."
