Melanie Lemoine celebrated her first training triumph on Wednesday afternoon at Flamboro Downs.
The 25-year-old resident of Barrie, Ont. earned her first victory in just seven career starts with Twin B Roxy in the fourth race for owner Icr Racing of Pefferlaw, Ont. Scott Zeron guided the three-year-old Modern Art filly wire-to-wire to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:57.3 over pocket-sitter Windsong Hannah and Robert Shepherd. She paid $14.20 to win as the 6-1 third choice.
Twin B Roxy was Lemoine's first starter at the Dundas half-mile oval.
