There are two new names on Dave Little's Road to the Meadowlands Pace poll as Joel And The Jets and Madden Oaks find themselves as Nos. 6 and 7, respectively, in the seventh edition of the weekly Top 10 off good performances in the eliminations for the North America Cup, which takes place Saturday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Louprint continues to hold down the top spot after his 1:49.1 Cup elimination win with the earplugs still in.
“I think [driver Ronnie Wrenn Jr.] was trying to save as much as he can for the big races," said Louprint's trainer, Ron Burke. "He’s trying to win races with the least amount of effort. I think you only get so many times that [pulling plugs] works. If you watch the pace-out [just after the finish line, Prince Hal Hanover] never did clear us.”
