After four O'Brien Award wins in February, Dr. Ian Moore once again appears to have a stable to be reckoned with this year after capturing half of the eight baby races on Saturday (June 12) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Not only did Moore trainees win four of the dashes, but nine of the 11 rookies he sent out finished first or second.
The fastest dash of the morning came in the first dash of the morning courtesy Im King Conn. A son of Hes Watching from the Bettors Delight mare Sweet Brown, Im King Conn was sent to the front by driver Dale Spence and carved out fractions of :30.1, 1:00.1 and 1:29 before sprinting home in :27.2 to hold off a stubborn Sundance Lou (Jody Jamieson) and hit the wire first in 1:56.2.
A $19,500 Hoofbid Yearling Auction sale purchase, Im King Conn is owned by trainer Moore, driver Spence, breeder Princeton Farms Inc. and Joanne McComb of Fall River, N.S.
The other Moore trainees to finish first on Saturday morning were:
Race 2: Century Inspector (b,c,2 - Hes Watching - Mary Bits) in 1:59.3

Race 4: I Love Ongait (b,f,2 - Sunshine Beach - So In Love) in 1:59
