The Ontario Racing Commission today released a notice regarding proceedings with horseman
Evzen Pindur.
On April 23, 2008, the executive director of the Ontario Racing Commission issued a notice of proposed order for the suspension of Pindur's licence and the imposition of a fine, and also made an order of immediate suspension of Pindur's licence (pursuant to Sections 22 and 23 of the Racing Commission Act).
On June 2, 2009, an ORC panel consisting of the chair, Rod Seiling, was convened to hear these matters.
Pindur was represented by Howard Cohen as counsel. Anthony Williams appeared as counsel for the administration.
The request for an adjournment by the licensee (Pindur) was granted on consent.
The hearing is now scheduled for November 2, 3, and 4, 2009, commencing at 9:00 a.m.
