BVA actually eptitomized for many of us what 'downhome' racing is all about. And what draws those of us, who have moved away, back to the Maritimes every summer. Look at that record and the years he lasted, as opposed to the throwaway, disposable horse culture you have in the fastbuck/claim'em and maim'em venues. This is what the sport of Harness Racing is all about. Rock on Albert!

Basin View Albert was one of the classiest and toughest horses to race in the Maritimes in recent memory. He must be the record holder for starts in the Governors Plate in Summerside, and he had many great battles with Igoddago over the years.

I know that he was a personal favorite of Alfred and Ricky and their families, and had a great fan following within PEI harness racing.
