In an article by The New York Times, top North American driver George Brennan has gone on the record in regard to the New York State Racing and Wagering Board's allegations of mass medication violations by trainer Lou Pena

.

Brennan, who has been the driver aboard almost all of Pena's starters at Yonkers Raceway this year, was quoted as saying, “They’re (the NYSRWB is) throwing this guy to the wolves when the primary objective in this game is to win races."

Brennan, who indicated that Pena's horses look really good and race for a long time, added that, "Obviously, someone is out to get him.”

In addition to Brennan's thoughts, The New York Times piece also includes feedback from a track worker at Yonkers, a veterinarian, and a devoted horseplayer.
