The win streak is now at six for trotting mare Feel L A in South Florida

The eight-year-old daughter of Feel Like A Winner-Keystone Nocturne raced with a price tag of $18,000 on the June 1 program at The Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park against a tough conditioned group for an $8,000 purse. With her regular partner, Tom Sells, at the controls, Feel L A was edged up methodically in the final half to earn yet another lifetime speed mark improvement of 1:55. Tom Cango, with Richie Simard in the bike, was the pocket-sitter throughout, but he could not match the closing strides heroics of Feel L A. Rose Run Limo brushed in for third in rein to Wally Hennessey.

The productive year for Feel L A has seen her rack up 14 wins in 18 starts for owner-trainer Gaston Glaude of Pompano Beach. Her career earnings total is now $169,536.

A heads up well-rated steer by veteran reinsman Walter Ross Jr. told the tale in the mid-week trotting feature for a $10,000 purse on the Wednesday program.

Subbing for the injured Bruce Ranger in the bike, Ross guided Keystone Thomas through fractions of :28, :57.4, 1:27.3 and 1:56.2. After disposing of the mild first over bid of Baseball Express, in rein to Mike Deters, Keystone Thomas was easily clear in the stretch to notch his fourth win in 12 starts this year.

Stewart Nemiro of the Ranger Stable trains Keystone Thomas, a five-year-old Revenue S-Yankee Taboo gelding for Fred Monteleone Stable of Pompano Beach, Florida. The trotter's lifetime bankroll increased to $151,243 with the win.

Gianna, the lone mare in the field, was a hard closing second with Dan Clements in the bike and Tug River Dylan, partnered by Richie Simard, settled for third.

Although he's still in therapy for the separated shoulder he suffered in a racing mishap on April 12, Bruce Ranger has returned to partial duty as he was in his driving uniform and in the bike behind Keystone Thomas for his final warm-up mile before the win. Ranger, the leading driver in the South Florida track's 47-year history, could be returning to action later this month.
