Clinton Raceway hosted the Spring Cleaning Stake during its Sunday matinee program, with six divisions on tap for the ladies and five splits for the boys

Dreamless Hall drew first blood in the distaff class for the father/son duo of trainer Jack Harris and driver J Harris. The eight-year-old daughter of Dream Away rallied to stop the clock in 2:01.2 in her first-leg assignment after enjoying a pocket trip throughout the mile. She is owned by Jack Harris and partner Joe Kartonchik of Port Rowan, ON.
Sweepem took home top prize in her $2,800 division for owner/trainer Scott Cassells of Norwich, ON. Trevor Henry rolled the eight-year-old daughter of Armbro Operative through fractions of :28.4, 1:00 and 1:30 before cruising home in :31.1 to freeze the teletimer in 2:01.1.
Gary and Evelyn Lee’s More Dreams found herself parked at the quarter pole, but she eventually worked her way to the lead for driver Trevor Henry and front-stepped her way to a comfortable victory. Sent off as the 4/5 favourite, the Blake Curran-trained six-year-old daughter of Apaches Fame was more than three lengths ahead of her next closest rival in 2:00.3.
Heart Plus led from start-to-finish for driver Doug McNair en route to a 2:00.3 score in her assignment. The Craig Yates pupil cruised home to win by close to six lengths. Gus Lagerquist holds the papers on the five-year-old daughter of Heartbeat Mindale.
Blackrivers Fame also went coast-to-coast for trainer Kyle Reibeling. The six-year-old daughter of Justice Denied carved fractions of :29.2, 1:00.4 and 1:31.1 before scooting home in :30.2 for the 2:01.3 decision. Bruce Richardson mapped out the winning trip for the partnership of Tom Gallant and Michael & Steve Murphy, who lost the mare to claimant John Peletier.
Snowshoe Hanover was a much-the-best winner in the final division for the gals. The eight-year-old daughter of The Panderosa front-stepped to a win by more than seven lengths in 2:00 for the duo of driver Ryan Holiday and owner/trainer Caroline Niclasen of Tottenham, ON.
Round two for the boys started off with a 2:01.4 score turned in by Tymal Triton, who drew away to win by more than three lengths for driver Trevor Henry and trainer Scott Cassells. The six-year-old Camluck gelding, who was a 1:59.1 winner in last week’s opening-leg assignment, delivered on the 1/9 pari-mutuel promise for owner Tracy Allan of Innerkip, ON.
Volcan Duharas held on to win by three-quarters of a length in the second division for the tandem of driver Rob Sparling, Jr. and trainer Ron Mitchell. The eight-year-old son of J B Stena enjoyed a pocket trip for the majority of the mile before brushing to the front in the late stages of the mile en route to the 2:00.4 score for owners Keith Mathieson, Murray Waples and Joe Mathieson.
Eleven-year-old veteran DM Billy The Kid gunned down the competition in his tilt for owner/trainer Craig Yates and partner Derick Anderson. Doug McNair guided the son of Armbro Operative, who was sent off as the 4/5 choice, to the neck decision in 2:01.
After posting a 2:00 triumph in last week’s first-leg assignment, Brookfieldpoketime had no problem disposing of his claiming foes for the second straight week. The nine-year-old son of In The Pocket went wire-to-wire en route to winning in 2:01 for driver Rob Sparling, Jr. Peter Jennings of Everett, ON owns and trains the gelding.
The final division went to Bronson Hall in a speedy 1:59.3. The 10-year-old Cambest gelding, who was sent off as the 4/5 favourite led from start-to-finish for driver J.R. Plante, trainer John Janes and owner David Gage of Brantford, ON.
