One More Laugh Captures $100,000 Open, PASS Divisions Feature 'Cup' Eligibles

Double millionaire One More Laugh captured the $100,000 World Series Poker Open Pace at Harrah's Chester on Saturday night giving Tim Tetrick one of his seven wins on the 14-race card

while North America Cup eligible Big Bad John made his 2011 debut a winning one in Pennsylvania Sires Stakes action.

In the World Series Poker Open for Pennsylvania sired horses that are five-year-olds and under, even money favourite One More Laugh and the hot-handed Tim Tetrick got away fourth before advancing to command ahead of River Shark (Eric Ledford) after the :28-second opening quarter. The four-year-old gelded son of Mcardle-Fancy Creek Funny proceeded to the half in :56 and three-quarters in 1:24.2 before stopping the clock in 1:51.2 for his first win of the season in three starts. Europan Union (Brian Sears) finished one and a half lengths behind off a pocket trip and Wambam Sam (Daryl Bier) advanced first over to finish third.

Ray Schnittker trains and co-owns the career winner of 19 races and over $2.2 million with Creative Racing Stable Co. of Central Islip and Jerry Silva of Long Beach, Florida.

In the first non-wagering PASS event for three-year-old pacing colts worth $52,599, Big Bad John and driver Brett Miller left from the outside Post 6 and cleared the lead past the :27-second opening quarter. The duo led the rest of the way bypassing panels of :56.2 and 1:24.1 before kicking away to score by over six lengths in 1:51.2. Somethine For Doc (Tony Hall) and Cup eligible Reckless Ric (Brian Sears) finished second and third.

Ron Potter trains the Western Hanover-Trulyawork Of Art for Winchester Baye Acres of Ocala, Florida. The colt, who is assessed as the seventh overall choice in Trot Magazine's 2011 Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book, won eight of 10 starts and never finished worse than second to earn $249,029 in his freshman year. His biggest wins were in the Bluegrass Series and the International Stallion Stakes at The Red Mile.

Pan From Nantucket pulled off an 8-1 upset in his PASS assignment, advancing from fourth to win by one and a quarter lengths in 1:51.4 for Corey Callahan and trainer Casie Coleman over Zipnthruthehall (Dave Palone) and the favoured Cup eligible Wink N Atcha (Brian Sears).

Second choice Custard The Dragon, also a Cup eligible colt, went all the way to win the next division by over six lengths in 1:51.1 for driver Montrell Teague and trainer George Teague Jr. Favourite Jolts Virtue (Brian Sears) and Panda Man (Dave Palone) rounded out the top three.

Favourite Danas Sharp Smart wired the field in his division in 1:51 for driver Tim Tetrick and trainer Linda Toscano. Vegas Rusty (Brian Sears) finished two lengths behind and Fameous Western (Andrew McCarthy) finished back in third.
