Janet Hudson's Just A Jolt notched his second straight win Monday at Harrington Raceway in the featured $16,000 Open Handicap for pacers in 1:51.2.
The five-year-old Village Jolt gelding, in rein to Victor Kirby, successfully mounted his attack second over after leader Elite Awards blazed through fractions of :26.1, :54.3 and 1:22.4. Just A Jolt gathered momentum on the outside following Believe This Bob and surged in the final sixteenth of a mile to hit the wire first. Summer Camp, who sat second behind the pacesetter, closed ground late for second, while Believe This Bob finished third. Elite Awards faded to fourth.
It was the 24th career win for Just A Jolt, who is trained by Jim King, Jr. He paid $2.60.
