Undefeated Beau Jangles remained No. 1 in the fifth edition of Dave Little's "Road to The Meadowlands Pace" weekly Top 10 rankings.

Beau Jangles stayed perfect in 15 lifetime outings after cruising to a 2-1/2-length score over an off track in 1:50.3, racing for a third straight week in the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Series last weekend at Woodbine Mohawk Park. He will take a week off before the first major test of the season, the North America Cup, with eliminations on June 6.

"It was either go in the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold or the Somebeachsomewhere [on May 30]," said trainer Dr. Ian Moore. "The weather last week was miserable, but sometimes, it’s good to get them a race in those conditions. Everything is hunky-dory."

The top-ranked horse in the Road to The Meadowlands Pace is one of eight in the Top 10 that are eligible to the $1 million North America Cup, including second-ranked Odds On Mr Mamba, who sparkled in his much-anticipated seasonal debut this past Monday in the Indiana Sire Stakes at Hoosier Park.

The Melanie Wrenn trainee crushed his foes by 2-1/4 lengths in 1:49. Does that eliminate any stress?

"I’m feeling much better," said Wrenn. "He did everything right. He was effortless. He will not race in the Somebeachsomewhere but will go next week in the N.A. Cup eliminations. This is how we mapped his season out.”

The top 10 rankings are compiled by Meadowlands Racetrack's TV host Dave Little and are scheduled to be released every Thursday until the July 4 eliminations for the 50th edition of the Meadowlands Pace, which will be contested on July 11.
