The pilot of a crop duster made a miraculous escape Monday, May 28 after the plane he was navigating crash-landed on the property of a standardbred farm

.

Fox40.com has reported that a pilot was in the process of dropping anti-mildew sulfur on a local vinery when the plane's engine starting smoking before 9:00 a.m. in Wilton, California, home to Desomer Stables.

The pilot of the crop duster was able to land his craft on one of the farm's driveways, although, after landing, the plane veered into mud. In turn, the craft flipped over and exploded at least twice.

The unnamed pilot was able to escape unharmed amidst fumes and explosions, which one eyewitness measured at 20 feet in the air.

The horses that call the farm home looked on and were also unharmed.

"My second thought was on the horses," said Robin Clements of Desomer Stables. "We have a lot of broodmares and babies, so my thought was with if the horses were okay, also."
