Hudson Phil First At Saratoga

Hudson Phil wired his competition in the $15,000 Open Pace on Saturday, May 25 at Saratoga Casino Hotel.

Driver Jay Randall sent the Jackie Greene trainee to the lead and faced little challenge as the 6-5 favourite, winning in a career-best 1:50.2. Carolina Beach closed for second while Deetzy took third.

The four-year-old son of Shanghai Phil won for the fourth time this season and for the 15th time in 46 starts. Owned by Kellogg Racing Stables, Hudson Phil led a $24.20 exacta and $91.50 trifecta.
