Winning half of the Friday night's harness races at Truro Raceway, driver Todd Trites was the star of the card.
The New Brunswick reinsman picked up his first win of the evening in the fourth race aboard three-year-old filly Pickpocketprincess ($2.50) in a 4-1/4 length romp over the 'good' going for owner/trainer Wayne Hubbard.
Trites later closed out the 10-race card with four consecutive wins courtesy of Dawn Ellis Abbott's Desir Dorleans ($6), Hugh MacKay's streaking P H Powerful ($5), Ramblinglily ($2.70) for trainer Allan Jones and co-owner Normand Leger, and Stars Above ($10.10) for conditioner Kurt Harper, who shares ownership with Bria Harper.
A nine-year-old daughter of Articulator, popular pacing mare Ramblinglily's 6-3/4-length top class score in her season's debut was clocked in 1:58.2.
Dale Spence enjoyed a driving triple with a pair of George Rennison trainees -- Lively Freddie ($3.60) and Global Seelster ($22.80) -- among his top performers winning back-to-back races mid-card.
