Old Home Week Agreement Reached

After concerns put a hold on plans for Prince Edward Island's 2017 Old Home Week, reports from PEI indicate that an agreement has been reached to drive on with the celebration.

According to The Guardian, the Old Home Week board was notified by Red Shores that access to its parking lot would be reduced by 15 per cent this August. That space is needed this year for tents to be erected for the 2017 World Driving Championship and World Trotting Conference.

The Old Home Week board wanted assurances that the parking lot access, used by Campbell’s Amusements for midway rides, would return in 2018. According to The Guardian, the two sides met late last week and have reached an agreement and that lot access will be returned to Old Home Week next year.
