Scioto Downs Racino is holding steady at a 33 per cent increase in wagering this year over 2012. While racing four nights versus three nights per week, Scioto is averaging $164,951 per night in total handle.

A large crowd came out to view the Preakness and stayed well through the 14 race card Saturday. Man He Can Skoot won the Open Pace in 1:51.2 for Virgil Morgan Jr. and driver Greg Grismore. Yakkity Yak Jack came from the back of the pack to finish second while Star Recruit hit the board third.

On Friday, Run And Tell Pap, who was assigned post position eight, won the Open Trot for Ron Burke and driver Tony Hall in 1:54.3. After going three-wide to the :26.4 opening quarter, the six-year-old gelding held off a late bid from pocket-sitting Proud Yankee and Chris Page.

Through two weeks at Scioto, Dan Noble is the leading driver in terms of wins with 16 while Tony Hall sits in second with 15. Virgil Morgan Jr. is sitting on top of the trainer standings with 12 wins.
