A new ownership platform has been launched that the creators state will provide an immersive, AI-powered, fan-focused experience from anywhere in the world.
According to the principals behind FreeRaceHorse.com, fans can own a real racehorse (for free), vote on daily care, watch exclusive livestreams and dive into premium, studio-quality content that brings the journey of these horses to life.
Standardbred owner and trainer Michael Calderone, CEO and Founder of FreeRaceHorse.com, describes the platform as the next era of fandom where ownership, emotional connection and real-time participation collide.
“You don’t just watch. You own,” said Calderone. “That shift — from spectator to stakeholder — is what will transform not just racing, but the way all sports should interact with their fans.”
A release from FreeRaceHorse.com noted that fans start with a free racehorse, becoming part of an immersive system built to entertain, educate and engage, with access to high-definition video streams, voting power on horse care decisions — from workouts to post-training treats, AI-driven fan-engaging content, gamified profiles, purse share tracking and milestone badges.
In addition, Calderone indicated that FreeRaceHorse.com is also creating original programming with a lineup of what have been described as broadcast-quality shows.
“We built a sports network inside a training facility,” said Calderone. “This is ESPN, Netflix and Animal Planet rolled into one — and it’s never been done before.”
Calderone's stable, which operates from a facility in Felton, Delaware, currently offers 10,000 shares in six horses, including Good Deal, Abel De Vie, Ruffian, Minett, Third Pillar and Sweet Flowers.
