Horseman Richard Schneider earned star of the card honours at Alberta Downs on Sunday after sending out three winners from his stable
.
Schneider started off on a winning note as he guided four-year-old Camystic mare Notable Intension ($13) to a 1:59.3 six and three-quarter length victory in the opener. With Jeff Stone taking over the driving duties, seven-year-old As Promised gelding Barona Grizzly ($14.10) scored a 1:55 triumph later in the eighth dash for the Sherwood Park conditioner. Schneider also won the 11th and final race with the Brent Grundy-driven Sharon Blew Bye ($4.90), a six-year-old As Promised mare, in 1:55.4.
The training triple lifted Schneider's 2012 win total to 18. He has sent out 359 winners over two decades while earning close to $2 million in purses.
