In Indiana, Governor Mike Pence has exercised his power and has vetoed a piece of legislation that calls for the legalization of advance deposit wagering in the state.

News of the veto comes courtesy of an article on igamingbusiness.com which states that Gov. Pence quashed Bill HEA 1270 due to his long-term opposition to online gaming.

The report also states that the bill called for expanded horse racing wagering.

The article has quoted the governor as saying “This legislation is contrary to my long-time position against online gaming.”
