Two entered, one scratched. After the races at Woodbine Racetrack on Saturday night, trainer Dr. Ian Moore assessed Wellthereyougo's performance and provided an update on the scratch of Malicious

Last year’s Battle of Waterloo and Ontario Sires Stakes Gold champion Wellthereyougo made his sophomore debut on Saturday at Woodbine and while the colt only placed fifth against his four-year-old rivals, he finished his mile with lots of pace.
Wellthereyougo trailed the field of seven after an outside start but closed well with a :28.3 final quarter to come on for fifth in his second race conditioning assignment Saturday night at Woodbine Racetrack. He clocked his mile in 1:53.2 and Moore says he is just getting stretched out.
“He raced very well,” said Moore in an interview on Saturday with WEG’s Greg Blanchard. “He had the outside in with some aged horses - horses that have been racing all winter. Randy said he was very good and and he finished up with some pace. He paced pretty good so hopefully he’ll be better in the next start.”
After a long two-year-old campaign in which he earned $295,250, Moore says Wellthereyougo enjoyed his winter break in Florida.
“He enjoyed it very much. He had two months off. Actually, he had a little more than that because he was off here in mid-October and then he had November and December off in Florida. He was turned out everyday and has been on the track since the first of January. So he has almost three months training in him and one month jogging him so he’s not short that’s for sure. He just needs to get stretched out a bit in a race and I think he got that tonight.
Moore indicated that the Camluck-Cheeky Hanover colt will head to Flamboro for the Bud Light Stakes on Friday and then to Georgian Downs for the Upper Canada Cup.
As for his other star sophomore pacing colt, North America Cup eligible Malicious (15-1 in Trot’s Spring Book), his schedule may need some minor adjustments. Malicious, a winner of $348,039 at two, was also entered to make his 2010 debut on Saturday at Woodbine but was scratched sick.
“Well we trucked up a week ago Wednesday from Florida and everybody seemed good but he spiked a fever a little bit this morning. He was off his feed a bit and I just didn’t want to chance it with him. We’ll just keep an eye on him. I don’t think its anything serious, just a little setback.
“It may or may not cause a problem [to his schedule],” added Moore. “He’s had a lot of training as well. He needs to be stretched out in a race. I may have to qualify him Thursday. I’m not sure if the rule here is that you have to re-qualify them after a scratch so I may have to do that.”
