As the 2014 Canadian harness racing season progresses, some new faces have emerged atop the national standings.
While Jody Jamieson remains in first-place as the leading money-earning driver one-third into the 2014 racing season with $1,074,230 banked in purses, defending dash champion Trevor Henry has reclaimed his spot atop the win column with 146 trips to victory lane. Ted McDonald has also moved to the top in the win percentage category with an average of .430.
Canada's reigning Trainer of the Year, Richard Moreau, has emerged as the leading money earner with his starters banking $625,143 in purses. Victor Puddy has taken the lead in a close race for the dash title having sent out 75 winners from his stable so far this year. Bill Davis remains the leading percentage trainer with a .515 average.
