Dial Or No Dial has been installed as the 11-1 fourth choice in Trot Magazine's 2009 Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book. Although, before he gets down and dirty at Mohawk Racetrack, the colt will be doing some work south of the border

The first of Dial Or Nodial's major 2009 stakes engagements will be the New Jersey Classic. Eliminations are scheduled for June 6 and the final will take place June 13. The New Jersey Classic will be taking place at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Dial Or Nodial, a son of Western Ideal, captured 2008 New Jersey Sire Stakes finals at both the Meadowlands and Freehold and also captured divisions of each the Bluegrass and International Stallion Stakes at the Red Mile. The colt won eight of 12 freshman starts, banking $429,740 and taking a mark of 1:51.2.

“'Dial' is coming back good,” trainer Jim Campbell told the SBOANJ. “We look to qualify him the first week of May. The 'Classic' is what we are looking at first. As far as preps before, it all depends on the qualifiers.

“He has filled out and grown,” Campbell explained. “I’m happy with the way he looks. We also have Fire in the Shark eligible. He will qualify the same time.”

Fireintheshark is also eligible to the $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup, and Trot Magazine has gauged the Cams Card Shark colt as an 80-1 longshot in its '09 NA Cup Spring Book.

Fireintheshark finished on the board in 11 of 16 starts at two, earning $173,253. He took his mark of 1:52.1 in a division of the International Stallion Stakes at the Red Mile.
