Officials with Saratoga Casino and Raceway have said that a major rebranding is being planned for the facility this summer and that the name of the harness facility could change, as well.
News of the rebranding comes courtesy of an article by the Times Union in which track spokeswoman Rita Cox was quoted as saying “we may go as far as to change the name.”
The track is in the midst of a $40 million expansion. Among other things, Morton’s Steakhouse, a new hotel, a ballroom and an indoor pool are being brought into the mix at the facility.
The article cites Cox as saying that the rebranding is being done in conjunction with the racino's ad agency, RPM Advertising of Chicago, which has experience in gaming branding.
The expansion is expected to be complete by July.
