It has been reported that legislation in Nebraska that would see the legalization of ‘Instant Racing’ or ‘Historical Racing’ be the subject of a constitutional amendment failed to get enough support by state lawmakers on Thursday (April 3).
According to a report by omaha.com, lawmakers voted 29-19 in support of Legislative Resolution 41CA. Although the majority of the lawmakers voted in support of the legislation, the bill required 30 votes in order for the measure to become a ballot question for referendum.
The article states that a re-vote on the subject is possible in the final days of the 2014 session.
