Concord owner Louis Cappelli has gone on the record as saying that he will this week announce a major for his stalled racino/conference centre destination in New York State's Catskills
.
According to an article by the Times Herald-Record, Cappelli has said that he can not yet reveal his partner, as he is bound by a confidentiality agreement. The article does mention the name of a major racetrack owner/operator in connection with the story.
The report also explains that the former hotel site, which Cappelli still owns, is currently mired in debt, and that more than two dozen contractors have liens claiming unpaid bills totaling around $25 million.
The Concord site was to be the new home of Monticello Raceway before the plan came off the rails.
