According to an official representing the Town of Thompson in New York State, there is still a possibility that a racino could be erected on the location of the former Concord Hotel

An article on midhudsonnews.com has quoted Town Supervisor Anthony Cellini as saying that he still has sporadic discussions with Entertainment Property Trust. The Trust was the lender in the proposal and has since has taken most of the property under its control via foreclosure.
Cellini was cited as saying that Louis Cappelli, the face of the racino proposal, is still interested in bringing a racino project to the location, but is currently looking for investors.
“He owns the site where the Concord Hotel formally stood and across the street where it was the proposed site for the racetrack for the racino,” Cellini was quoted as saying.
