Rideau Carleton Raceway’s leading trainer Jamie Copley went on a winning streak during the final third of Friday’s race card as his girls Elm Grove Dallas, Classic Discrete and P H Little Lady clicked in their respective assignments

Stephane Gendron got the ball rolling for Copley in the 10th race sending Elm Grove Dallas down the road to score her fourth consecutive victory in a life’s-best 1:57 by nearly three lengths. Robert Gordon of Elmsdale, PE owns and bred the four-year-old Rayson Hanover-Mystical Rose mare.
Classic Discrete was three lengths the best in the following race with Gendon at the lines. The four-year-old daughter of Earl-Private Pleasure, owned and bred by Carl Duguay of Gatineau, QC, used a pocket trip to establish a new mark of 1:59.3.
Next up, Kyle Forgie directed P H Little Lady to the lead in the 12th race and the three-year-old daughter of Million Dollar Cam-Self Help went on to score her first victory of the season by a length in a career-best 1:58.1. Breeder Dr. James Shive of Shubenacadie, NS and Norm Myers of Cardigan, PE share ownership.
Copley’s training triple bumped his yearly win total to 58 and puts his earnings at $311,589. Lifetime, the resident of Greely, ON has sent out 233 winners good for over $1.1 million.
