Push Ends For Expansion At Saratoga

It has been reported that the Saratoga Casino and Raceway has informed local officials that it is dropping its plans for Las Vegas-style gaming expansion and is instead focusing its efforts to building a casino closer to Albany.

According to an article which appears on the website of The Wall Street Journal, the decision has come after local voters and city officials were not in support of such expansion at the harness raceway.

The owners of the Saratoga Casino and Raceway are now focusing their efforts on securing a license to operate casino gaming in East Greenbush, which is located in Rensselaer County.
