Quebec native Yannick Gingras celebrated his 4,000th career driving win on Sunday afternoon with a victory aboard Versado in the fourth race at Harrah's Chester

.

Gingras was on the move early with the 4-5 favourite sending him after the lead from third around the first turn. Versado, trained by Nicholas Surick for KDM Stables Corp., settled on top as the field raced in front of the grandstand for the first time and circled the sloppy oval without facing any major challenges before hitting the wire in 1:53 with two and half lengths to spare. Bad Rusty and Fools Idea finished second and third.

The victory was Gingras' second on the card. He also steered the Gary Napierala-trained 11-year-old trotter Ripped to a 2:00.1 three-quarter length score in race two.

The 32-year-old reinsman, who was featured in Trot Magazine's February 2012 issue, enjoyed a career year in 2011 earning over $11.95 million in purses. He was a multiple stakes champion driving the likes of A Rocknroll Dance, Hugadragon, Foiled Again, Drop The Ball, and Betterthancheddar to name a few. Lifetime, he has collected over $74.4 million in purse earnings.
