Tyler Borth added to his season-leading win totals on Friday night (April 21) at The Raceway at Western Fair District, driving winners in half of the evening's 10 races.
Borth was a winner right out of the gate, driving his own pacing mare Mystical Gal ($3.80) to victory in the opener. He shares ownership of the four-year-old Pang Shui daughter, who was a 1:56 wire-to-wire winner, with trainer Katie MacNeil and Robert Sparling Jr.
The Ingersoll, Ont. horseman also made winner's circle appearances throughout the night with the Stephen Bossence stable newcomer R J Hooker ($3.40), the lightly-raced Mike Timpano-trained sophomore trotter Acefortyfour Elvis ($2.60) and the Lindsey Kerr-campaigned pacer Squadron Seelster ($7.60) before closing out the card in rein to Doug Currie's Kevndan Fraudsters ($7.90).
Borth's five-win performance on Friday pushed his season-leading Western Fair win count over the century mark to 102 and he currently tops all drivers in Canada this year with a total of 126 victories.
Borth has won 1,447 races since starting his driving career in 2012 and is fresh off his first $2 million campaign in 2022 and a career-best 310 triumphs.
