According to a report by The Associated Press, veterinarians have said that yesterday's sudden death of 21 Venezuelan-owned polo horses could have been caused by toxins.
The article states horses from the Lechuza Caracas team fell sick before a tournament yesterday. Horses collapsed and died at the polo grounds, while some others passed away both in transit and at vet clinics.
