Top Delaware-based distaff pacer Majorca N has been retired from racing, announced her owners Michael Casalino Jr. and Dylan Davis on Wednesday, April 2.
Named after one of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean, Majorca N started her career in Australia before being shipped to the United States in 2022 at age seven. Trained by Davis, she made her first pari-mutuel start in the U.S. at Bally’s Dover, winning a Mares Open in 1:52 on March 16, 2022. She went out a winner, making a successful final start in a Mares Open in 1:52.2 at Dover on March 12, 2025.
"She's quickest off the gate and has such long strides, which allows me to get to the front quickly and dictate the pace of the race," said Corey Callahan, who drove Majorca N for the majority of her starts. “I was particularly proud of her win at The Meadowlands in 1:48.4 on [2022] Hambo Day and a life mark. She also won the Betsy Ross in 1:49.2 at Harrah’s Philly."
Co-owner Casalino stated, “She’s the best horse I ever had.”
Davis summed it all up by adding, “Her career speaks for itself.”
The 10-year-old daughter of Art Major out of Cloudy Beach ends her racing career with 45 wins, 19 seconds and 11 thirds from 133 starts with $751,203 in earnings.
