Woodbine Mohawk Park's late Daily Double wager could have been renamed the 'Drury Double' for Thursday night (April 19).

Driver Jonathan Drury was the common denominator in the late Daily Double races, driving both winners to close out the 10-race card.

Drury and three-year-old pacer Life Happened ($9.10) retook the lead from favourite Chocolate Swirl down the backstretch in the ninth race en route to a three-length victory in 1:53 for trainer Blake MacIntosh and co-owner Hutt Racing Stable.

In the finale, five-year-old pacer Badstormanyport ($13.80) and Drury swept up from second-to-last approaching the final turn and reeled in the front-striding Mercenary to prevail by a neck in 1:55 for the Carmen Auciello stable and owner Percy Elkins.

The 'Drury Double' returned $88.30 while Badstormanyport led a popular top five winning combination in the finale prompting a Jackpot Hi-5 carryover, which will be $32,449.35 for Friday night.
