Perfect Trick Wins 11-Year-Old Season Debut

Veteran pacer Perfect Trick helped kick off the meet at Exhibition Park Raceway with a wire-to-wire victory in the featured $1,700 Winners Over Pace on Saturday

afternoon.

Leaving from Post 5 in the field of seven with Todd Trites in the bike, Perfect Trick took control and rolled past fractions of :28.4, :59.1 and 1:29.3 en route to a 1:59.2 triumph for owner and trainer Douglas Beckwith of Second North River, N.B. Favourite Buster Blue Chip (Gilles Barrieau) finished one length behind from the pocket while R Rs Wanderer (Gord Hennessey) finished back in third.

Perfect Trick, a son of Cams Magic Trick-Fancy Escort, earned his 63 career win and pushed his bankroll to $121,012 during the first start of his 11-year-old campaign.
