Parlay pushed his undefeated streak to four thanks to 1:56.2 score in Thursday night’s lone second round division of the Tie Silk Trotting Series
at Woodbine Racetrack.
And the scary thing is, he barely broke a sweat doing it.
Jack Moiseyev was able to float the three-year-old son of Kadabra into the three-hole when the starting gate sped away. Parlay watched Angel Drive throw down a :27.4 opening quarter before making his move.
Parlay edged off the pylons to engage and eventually overtake Angel Drive, who found himself in the role of the pocket sitter at the mid-way point in :58.1. Parlay cruised past the third marker in 1:27.4 before kicking out a final quarter in :28.3 to seal the deal in a career-best clocking of 1:56.2.
Runner-up Angel Drive was the best of the rest, while Breewood Gringo trotted home late to finish third in the $20,000 contest.
Parlay, who is owned by Ricky MacPhee, Harris O’Brien and Robby Wibawa, will look to add to his $38,000 bankroll into next Thursday’s $47,200 final of the Tie Silk Trotting Series at Woodbine Racetrack.
