Heavenly Sound was the fastest of Saturday’s three winners, ripping off a 1:50.4 clocking. The Rock N Roll Heaven colt overcame a first-over trip and caught pacesetting Heartbeat Hill by half a length at odds of 1/9. Tom Jackson piloted Heavenly Sound for trainer Bruce Saunders and M&M Harness Racing LLC.
I Soar Him First quarter-moved to the lead for driver George Napolitano Jr. and progressed to a 1:52 win in the second division. Goose Mountain, at a disadvantage in the post draw, finished one-and-three-quarter lengths behind the winner at the finish as the So Surreal sophomore gelding won for owner/trainer Gilbert Garcia-Herrera.
Ostro Hanover won his sixth-consecutive race while lowering his lifetime mark to 1:52.1 by winning the third division. Record Machine, three-quarters lengths off the victorious Betterthancheddar colt, held off Riggle Wealth for second. Frank Yanoti conditions the impressive Pocono newcomer for Twin Bridge Racing.
In the $21,500 featured pace for older performers, Highalator traveled first over to nip pacesetting Americanprimetime by a head in 1:49.4, a career best. Tyler Buter handled the sulky assignment behind the son of Somebeachsomewhere, winning 15 times in 30 starts in his career for trainer Jenny Bier, who is also the co-owner with Joann Dombeck.
