Driver David Miller completed a sweep of the Spring Survivor Series Semifinals with a narrow score aboard Breakin The Law in the $15,000 edition for pacers Saturday night at Meadowlands Racetrack
.
Fresh off a five-win night on Friday, which included a Spring Survivor Series Semifinal victory with the Julie Miller-trained trotter Top Billing, driver David Miller settled his pacing mount Breakin The Law into fifth position early on while Jimmy Takter stablemates filled the top three spots. Advancing to the top past the :27.3 opening quarter was Arts Ideal Hanover (Ron Pierce) over Rockndream (Dan Dube) with One Through Ten (Tim Tetrick) third.
As Arts Ideal Hanover carved out middle splits of :57.1 and 1:25.4, Breakin The Law launched a first over attack with Winter Night (Corey Callahan) following his cover. Breakin The Law then unleashed a :26.2 final frame to edge by Arts Ideal Hanover at the wire in 1:52.2. The margin of victory was just a head. One Through Ten (Tim Tetrick) and Winter Night (Corey Callahan) finished less than a length behind in third and fourth. Rockndream was fifth.
Breakin The Law paid $3 to win as part of the 1-2 favoured Ron Burke entry. The Artiscape-Arls Troublemaker gelding, winner of his two previous legs, now sports a seasonal record reading 7-2-0 in nine outings with $47,750 earned for Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, JJK Stables LLC, and The Panhellenic Stb Corp.
The series is for three-year-old pacers that are non-winners of two extended pari-mutuel races or $30,000 lifetime as of March 1, 2012.
