Jockey Kirsty Milczarek, one of four riders found guilty of corruption overseas last December, has successfully appealed the ruling and will not have to face a two-year ban

.

According to a report by The Guardian, a British Horseracing Authority appeals committee ruled that there was "insufficient evidence to support the panel's conclusion that Milczarek was party to the conspiracy."

Milczarek had initially been found guilty of 'corrupt or fraudulent practices' in relation to the said conspiracy, which was centered around James Crickmore and others, who were found to have profited in terms of the laying of wagers based off of inside information.

In December, the BHA found 11 individuals --- including Milczarek and three other jockeys --- guilty of corruption stemming from an investigation into race fixing in 2009.
