Angel Nation posted a second consecutive win at Saratoga Casino Hotel after winning the $17,000 Open Trot on Monday (April 10).
Going to the gate as post seven in the field of eight, driver Brett Beckwith took Angel Nation back to race from off the pace. The pair received a cover trip before charging home to score in 1:56. Angel Nation won by 1-3/4 over Dewey Arnold (Jim Devaux) and Reign Of Honor (Luke Hanners).
Angel Nation is trained by Melissa Beckwith for owner William Hartt of Carmel, ME. After winning the feature race, the son of Archangel pushed his career earnings to $377,496.
Live racing continues on Tuesday (April 11) at Saratoga and will feature a carryover of $2,860 in the early Pick-5. First post time is noon.
