Dan Noble celebrated his 8,000th career driving win on Monday, March 31 at Miami Valley Raceway.

Noble reached the milestone when he crossed the wire first with Terminator in the fifth race, a $23,571 conditioned pace, after taking command before the half-mile mark and holding off all challengers. The six-year-old Downbytheseaside gelding prevailed by half a length in 1:52.2 as the even-money favourite over late-closing longshot Mach Out Knockout and Brett Miller, with Flyin Fritz and Chris Page rounding out the top three.

Terminator earned his first win of the year in nine starts for trainer Jason Irwin and Florida-based owner Robert Weinstein.

Noble was joined by his family in the winner's circle to commemorate the achievement.

The 42-year-old Xenia, Ohio horseman, who won his first race in 1999 driving a horse trained by his father Sam “Chip” Noble III, is coming off a career-best season in 2024 when the horses he drove earned more than $10 million.

The win was the first of three on the 14-race card for Noble, giving him a quick start towards the next milestone.
