The PEI Standardbred Breeders Association (PEISBA) in conjunction with the PEI Harness Racing Industry Association (PEIHRIA) are pleased to present the 2022 Island Horse Breeders Conference.
The event will be held on March 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the grandstand at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park with a live stream also available. There will be a free lunch generously provided by the following sponsors: PEIHRIA, Red Shores, Atlantic Post Calls, Merck, Zoetis, and JD Marine and Diving.
The morning sessions will consist of an educational presentation by the veterinary panel on preparing your mare to foal, the first 24 hours of a foal’s life, and tips for a successful breeding season. The afternoon will consist of a presentation on PEIHRIA breeding incentives, a virtual tour of Twinbrook Farms, and a panel composed of prominent trainers and owners focusing on breeding for today’s marketplace.
