Only a handful of matings can result in a future harness racing superstar with both a sire and dam boasting over $3 million in purses. One such foal was born on Wednesday morning.
At White Birch Farm in New Jersey, the first foal of O'Brien Award winner Darlins Delight was born in the early morning hours on March 30. Sired by another O'Brien Award winner in Rocknroll Hanover, the combined earnings of the colt's parents surpass $6 million.
Trot Insider obtained a collection of photos from photographer Vicki Wright shortly after the foal was born. Click here to view the photos.
