Merton, who has found driving assignments at many of the northeastern U.S. tracks as of late, says his focus will always be on the track.
"Racing is what I think I was born to do. And I'll keep on doing it until I can't do it anymore," Merton was quoted as saying in the Times Herald-Record article. "There aren't any age restrictions in this business. There's a doctor from Pine Bush who races competitively, and he's 87 years old. So if I'm healthy enough, why not?"
